Minerals. You, and I, and everyone we know (and everything we know) is made of minerals. While existentially fascinating, the crew members of the MWG-1204 were only interested in the value of these ancient geodes. Tasked with settling a new mining operation somewhere in the Epsilon Shield, there natural inclination was to locate already identified sources. Deep within the narrow passages of an unexplored cavern, they found their first trove of crystals. Curiously, the volume reported on their mineral analyzer indicated a much large haul. Searching for days, an accidental whack of a claw hammer loosened a passageway. The crew descended nearly a mile into a crystal clear pool of water, the basin of which glittered with a pleasing ice-blue tone. The undiscovered mineral pulsated, beckoning them to remove and harvest it. The silence beneath the water was heartbreaking, the muffled chiseling thumping like a weak heart. Above the surface, however, music suddenly burst from the severed crystal, filling the cavern with a deliciously sweet beat. Beyond Remarkable Galaxies was issued in two volumes over the course of ten years, to commemorate the successful mining missions which captured the melodies. Credits were shared across the various crew members who unearthed the ancient tunes, but the true progenitors never received their due.
