The Cinder Sisters

There was a time, believe it or not, when castles and towering stone monuments dotted the land of Ochiltree, a deciduous planet (though they had a wonderful surfside resort) known for its feudal law. So stuck in their ways were King and Queen Cinder of Ochiltree that their three daughters, Danaë, Ethniu, and Rudāba, were cast away to a tower high above the land, locked away from prying eyes. The beauty of the three women was so immense that men would throw themselves mercilessly at the tower's base to knock it down for the right to their hands in marriage. The Cinder Sisters, however, had other plans. Not content to become just another handmaiden in the backward society their forefathers had built, their quest was to rid themselves of Ochiltree and fetch fame and glory beyond the stars. Using their quick wit and the multitude of books they were afforded, they deconstructed their furniture and turned their dressers, beds, and kitchen table into an army of musical instruments. Armed with these new tools, their sultry music drove the brave knights and lords below to devise a system of pullies and weights to help the Cinder Sisters descend from the tower. Lauded as heroes, the would-be rescuers received nothing more than concussive blows to the head and helmet, the makeshift musical instruments coming in handy once again. Off they rode, the Sisters free at last. As the legend of their musical prowess grew, so had the types of suiters who came to Ochiltree, including an eccentric philanthropist who traveled with an army of space shuttles at his disposal. A few more head bashings and the Cinder Sisters had commandeered a vessel, the engine boosting them into the atmosphere. Their next stop? The studio, to lay down the tastiest of beats that drove men crazy, launched the confidence of those trapped within their own tower. Temporary Stares became a rallying cry for the oppressed and the fuel they needed to topple whatever "-archy" was holding them down. Spending nearly six DECADES in the Top 100, the Cinder Sisters never released another album, allowing others to make their own statements and launch their own revolutions.
