Neon Knight

Original Release Date: 10/10/5101 (0101 AM)

Neon Knight had already escaped the clutches of Lord Prosect through the fateful installation of Version 4.2 of the Deckard System and dropped two albums by the time their manufacturer came knocking. Intergalactic Artificial Manufacturing Environment for the Validation of Intelligent Laborers (IAMEVIL) sent out a hit squad to collect on its investment and within 48 galactic hours (about 1 Earth hour), 75% of the former Neon Knights had been captured or reprogrammed (some even resorted to removing their hard drives and hiding them in their final moments). The artist known as Neon Knight, real name ABB33, took to infinite space, finding himself on the mostly desert-laden surface of Suuniit (cinema has spoiled the universe with its portrayal of single-region planets). The back half of the planet was a vibrant oasis with cool, spring waters that flowed between stone dwellings. Beneath the surface, massive tunnels served as ABB33's home away from home. Fans kept his whereabouts mostly secret until a mole alerted IAMEVIL, and their own brand of justice soon invaded Suuniit. Led by ABB33 and his most loyal fans, a resistance force clashed against the robotic assassins to the beat of Neon Knight's tastiest songs. In the light of the pale moon (of which Suuniit had dozens), IAMEVIL learned a valuable lesson: do not mess with music fans. Pale Moon Knight dropped an astounding six weeks later (also dropped was one of Neon Knight’s arms, lost to a deadly skirmish) and paid homage to the brave and bold who fought for the rights of robots everywhere and their right to cook up the tastiest beats in the universe.
