Without that simple mistake, the legacy of Sequence Zero never materializes and the future of life in the universe is possibly lost forever. Every note, every thump, every bump was sourced from the DNA rhythms of blood drive donors from the dark side of 55 Cancri e. What began as a life-saving act of kindness turned into a multi-trillion-selling album that provided scientific data for future generations to study, and maybe, one day, reimagine. While internal scuffles between management lead to a delay in its release, it was ultimately plagued with malfeasance, leading some to ingest the very vinyl itself, believing that it would cure their bloodborne diseases. Sadly, many lives were lost, but the future-forward Cancri would live on to garner much success as a snapshot of what is still possible, very much to the credit of the brave efforts of the medical and musicology community.
